Unbridled 152 Posted July 24, 2016 For those who are post surgery status, do you notice that you are colder since getting closer to your goal weight? After complaining of being hot year around, even inside in the AC, my dietitian says once I lose weight I will need to carry a sweater with me. I hope this is a fact! I'm so tired of being hot! theantichick 2,204 Posted July 24, 2016 I'm praying for this effect as well. I am constantly overheated. I'd love to need a sweater everywhere. sent from mobile device
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted July 24, 2016 I was cold all the time for the first 6 months or so. Now I am probably pretty normal. I don't get warm as fast as I used to, and I am more susceptible to being cold, but I am not freezing all the time like I was when I was dropping weight really fast. kittykatlover 50 Posted July 25, 2016 My husband says it is because we lose all of our insulation. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App
magoosmom 115 Posted July 25, 2016 I'm not even close to my goal weight and I have already noticed a difference. I've lost about thirty pounds and find I get cold quicker. I have always been hot natured and once heated it takes me forever to get cool but it's better now Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Barry W 336 Posted July 25, 2016 At first I think that comes from some mild hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), and after I lost a good deal of weight I also feel (thankfully) cooler, and now I think it's because my body doesn't have as much insulating fat on it. Much easier in summertime now!
