Nooo! I've read about it and now, 3 months out I'm experiencing the dreaded 3 month stall. How long does it usually last? I feel like I'm waisting good "honeymoon" time! Feeling the pressure of the first year being the best/easiest and stalling for 2-3 weeks seems so terrible. Do we just have to wait this out? Should I just go back to shakes only? What do I do?!

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. If you intend to lose a significant amount of weight, you are going to experience stalls.

I dropped roughly 4 lbs a week months 2 and 3. Last week I dropped 11 lbs. . Stalls can last days or 3 weeks..the trick is to ignore them and keep on doing what you were taught by your team. You will wake up soon and miraculously be 10 lbs down over night... Also do you measure yourself?. I was told the body needs stalls to readjust its hormones, chemical balances. Metabolism etc..you will shrink inches while this happens but not drop, weight per say. All normal and even necessary.

I'm going on my third week of this stall. At first I was embracing the stall, now I'm swearing at it. I keep trying to think "you're down 50 lbs in 3.5 months...be happy..." Easier said than done.

I am going on my 3 week of stall as well.

The first week I saw myself getting smaller, but the last 2 weeks no change on scale or cloths.

I have just cut my carbs from 30 to 20 a day to see if that helps, while boosting my Protein from 100 to 110.

I increased my workout intensity a couple weeks ago too.

Hope something happens soon.

I'm only 5 weeks out and have only lost 17 since surgery day. I have been the same weight for about two weeks now or more. I know I don't get in enough Water or Protein. It takes all I have to get in what I do. Idk what to do. But I did start measuring almost two weeks ago. My next measure day is this coming up Sunday. If I have lost in measurements then I guess I will simmer down on the worry.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
