Wendydarling19 310 Posted July 23, 2016 I'm in excruciating pain. I was sleeved 7/21 so I don't expect to feel 100% for awhile but I don't remember my lapband hurting this much. I know VSG is completely different but it seems like the pain just won't let up even with the pain meds
cogal 33 Posted July 23, 2016 My surgery was7/13. I was much better by 7/18. Still exhausted but have not taken pain meds since po day 5. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Clarevoyant 347 Posted July 23, 2016 I was sleeved on 7/18. Pain has been fairly minimal for me. More a general soreness in my core and back. When I move too quickly the indecisions do hurt so I try not to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
kingsanders 0 Posted July 23, 2016 I was sleeved on 7/11/16. Out of the 6 incisions, there is only one that still hurts. I alternate between ice and heat compresses. It seems to help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Jobey 177 Posted July 23, 2016 It took 2 weeks till I was completely pain free. The second week was way more bearable than the first. Maybe you need some better pain drugs to get you through?? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
suzzzzz 1,005 Posted July 23, 2016 Did you feel that way when released from hospital? It may be gas pain and walking and heating pad will help. But, if you are in that much pain, call your doctor because it should not be so bad that meds won't help.
tluv 7 Posted July 24, 2016 I was had lapband to sleeve 6/7/16. Everyday was a little different than the last. Walking helped a lot. Even just walking down the driveway and back made a difference in the early days. One day at a time you will feel better. Follow the plan they gave you and don't be afraid to call the sugeon's office for answers . They are your best resource in the early days. Chrysalis77 66 Posted July 24, 2016 I was sleeved on the 18th- my incisions don't hurt but my diaphragm is extremely sore and my entire abdomen hurts if I wait too long between doses of hycet Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Wendydarling19 310 Posted July 24, 2016 Thanks all! I took a walk this morning and seem to feel a little bit better. I'm going to try to get out a few more times today. My mom is here helping me and takes my daughter in the stroller so it's nice for all of us. This definitely hurts though for sure. I guess it's slowly getting better but the pain is unbearable when I have to get up or switch positions
