reducer623 137 Posted August 8, 2016 @@reducer623 ... I feel the same way. Then I get kind of upset when I can't have what my family is having. Maybe not upset but kind of down. This process is so mental. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Isn't it?! Gosh... Then I have two bites & it's over lol. Sometimes I get sad about that too but it's what we signed up for right? reducer623 137 Posted August 8, 2016 I have been doing pretty well on the week 4 diet. I have been able to eat soft Protein like moist chicken, cheese, etc. Next week I can add soft cooked vegetables along with the Protein. I'm actually looking forward to a green bean, but I will probably only be able to eat one! I manage 2-3 oz. of food at each meal. How much can everyone else eat? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App This weekend I tried a green bean... OMG! I thought I was going to die! Lol it was so painful lol. Who knows why I did that lol. Yes please wait. I thought I was able to have it until I went home & looked at the list, boy was I wrong! I can eat about 2oz now. deerjay 24 Posted August 8, 2016 @@reducer623 and everyone else... I'm doing very well. I'm down 30 pounds (including pre-op loss). I'm eating 3 Protein meals a day (2-3 ounces) and drinking 2-3 Protein Drinks a day. Getting all my liquids and Vitamins in too. I'm walkin 30-45 mins daily. I think I'm about ready to work strength training back in 2-3 days a week. I have had terrible side pain since surgery, but I can finally say that it is getting better! It still hurts if I bend or twist too quickly or in the wrong direction, but it is 1000 times better now. How are you all doing?!
reducer623 137 Posted August 8, 2016 That's great! I'm down 18 pounds since surgery. I have to push myself really hard working out & all but it's coming off. I'm believe I'm at a stall as well. Hopefully this weeks weigh-in will be better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
reddy4chng 11 Posted August 8, 2016 I have lost 40 pounds. 24 of that was pre-op and 16 post op. It seems like I should be losing faster considering what I am eating. I just keep telling myself that it didn't come on overnight, it isn't coming off overnight either. I am seeing the difference in clothes. I am down from a tight 24 or 26 to 20/22. I will take the inches over scales! I just wish I could pick where it comes off. :-) Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Our bodies are probably just trying to adjust to the new change. Let's hope this phase quickly turns around for us. However 40 lbs IS a victory! Diandra Domino 1 Posted August 8, 2016 Sleeved July 13th. Doing great overall, but don't think I'm getting all my Proteins. Just ordered some unflavored Protein, so hopefully once that arrives, I can improve my intake. Started working with a trainer to increase my exercising. Good luck to everyone. Time4achange16 15 Posted August 9, 2016 I think I'm going overboard on the carbs. It may definitely be a factor. Stepped on the treadmill for 20 minutes today. May do this every lunch time. Hope it helps.
becomingnicole 10 Posted August 10, 2016 Finally going back to work tomorrow. Had a rough few weeks with pain and ER trips for dehydration. Everything seems to be under control now. Looking forward to living my new life. So glad for everyone's support!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
tlyons72 43 Posted August 10, 2016 Greetings all...sleeved on 7/15. I stalled for a week and a half and just came out of it. I've read other posts about stalls and how upset it makes you. I thought people just needed to grow a set and nut up. I can honestly say that the stall has humbled me. Talk about depression! I really didn't think I was going to make it. Now I'm out of the stall and down 20lbs since surgery. pretty sure I've lost it all in my boobs. My doctor let me go to mushy foods at week 2. They aren't kidding when they say eat slowly! I get the most intense pain in my back if I don't follow that rule and wind up twisting into all sorts of unnatural positions to try and stop the stabbing feeling. Good news...the husband is considering the surgery now! Anyone else a two surgery household?

In my direct household no one needs the surgery but my sister and aunt live within the same household and they are considering going through my surgical team to have their surgery. triplethreat 257 Posted August 10, 2016 Sleeved 7/12. At my two week weigh in I was down 16 (lost 3 of the lbs the week before surgery). Am not weighing more than once a week. I hit a stall last week, I think. Will find out for certain on Aug 12 when I weigh again My plan is 2 weeks full liquids, 1 week mushies, then "anything you can cut with a fork" and as of this week, introducing new foods to see what I tolerate. I am wanting to eat carrots and raw bell peppers but worry my stomach won't like that. Otherwise I am between 60-85 grams of Protein and less than 25 carbs/day. Most days I'm between 600-750 calories. I was cleared for exercise at two weeks and have been alternating swimming and trying to jog . I am using the c25k app which my surgeon's office provided and I'm making progress. I am weight training but nothing more than 30 pounds. I was off work for a week and a day before I chose to go back. I'm a teacher so thus far I've been attending or presenting workshops. I hope when the students return I can stay focused on hydration! My energy is great and I feel really good. It's been really easy to walk away from unhealthy foods, probably because I feel so much better about myself. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Hi Triplethreat! I am a school counselor and started back with kids Aug. 1. I was sleeved July 12 also. My biggest challenge is hydration. I try to keep the cup either in my hand or very close, even when presenting lessons. I have done fairly well but it takes constant thought and diligence. The other thing is energy. It seems I am exhausted by about 2-2:30. The first few weeks are always high energy and very demanding at my schools (I travel among 2 schools, 1200:1 Counselor ratio). I feel like I just need a nap! I hit a stall about two weeks ago and it's still there. But I can still tell I am losing in my clothes. Inches instead of pounds, I guess. Good luck on your first week back with kids!
