MrsKarenC2008 622 Posted July 22, 2016 oh yes ... it's funny but I can actually smell sugar now ... and it STINKS! Used to love Tomato Soup ... but now ... yuck. Cant stand banana's anymore ... they stink and taste horrible ... But yet ... I like spinach now ... Odd. Who knew !?
cupples0405 19 Posted July 22, 2016 Me too. Use to hate Greek yogurt but now it is yummy. I'm still on full fluids so that's as far as I can go for now but the puréed stage should prove interesting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
walnut 12 Posted July 22, 2016 Yes! I know what you mean. My sense of smell was very strong after surgery. So much so that the ride home was miserable. Thankfully that's seemed to calm down a little bit a couple months out though. There are a lot of foods and Protein shakes (such as premier protein) that I loved before that I can't stand the taste of now. My dietitian warned me about that before I had the surgery, so I think it's a pretty common thing.
