kbuck3779 11 Posted July 21, 2016 My understanding is dizziness is the first sign of being dehydrated. I'm also struggling with fluids. I was never a big Water drinker to begin with, and now I'm just finding it tough to get 64oz in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Fluids are important - you are most likely dehydrated. If you can't get in fluids - call your Dr. It's very dangerous to be dehydrated. Let us know how you are doing. suzzzzz 1,005 Posted July 21, 2016 Also check your blood pressure. If you are on meds they may need adjusting.

jessjames 234 Posted July 21, 2016 Ah seems like we have similar problems here, I'm 8 weeks out.. Does your dizziness come after you stand up quickly? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
NeedaBreak4Me 1,755 Posted July 21, 2016 There is another post about the same thing... but since you are 2 weeks out... advice will be a little different. Tips Increase your Water .. sip all day.. Increase your Protein Have some electrolytes Take your Vitamins If you are struggling with water... add something to soften it... eg infuse with mint & lemon, sugar free flavouring, cucumber n mint etc... that helps me so much... Twinmom07 63 Posted July 22, 2016 Hi all! Thanks for your comments and concern. I ended up calling the surgeon and she sent me to the hospital for Fluid infusion and tests. Turns out my potassium was really low, so I also got 4 bags of potassium infused and on a supplement now. I could really tell a difference after and it is supposed to be even better tomorrow. I have struggled with diarrhea and they think that contributed to it. Can't wait to see how I feel tomorrow!
NeedaBreak4Me 1,755 Posted July 22, 2016 Yay... thats excellent.. this is why its important to get your electrolytes... the potassium and sodium in the electrolytes make a world of difference... glad you figured out what it is
