judy vsg 126 Posted July 21, 2016 Hey, all! I had my sleeve done July 11 and had to come off my birth control pills because of the risk of blood clots. So, usually when i come off my pills, i would have my TOM a couple of days after. This time, a couple of days after surgery I stained a tiny bit and that was it! Does this surgery mess with our cycles?? I apologize for the TMI... Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

Otherwise - hormones are all messed up post-op and so are TOMs.
Wonderwoman516 10 Posted July 21, 2016 I had surgery on July 5 and Auntie Flo came to visit on July 7 the day I was to be discharged. She just dropped by for the festivities, I guess. She wasn't supposed to arrive for a week! Sooo...that was fun...

cindyw41 761 Posted July 21, 2016 I definitely would use a second form of Bc because your hormones will fluctuate and could be completely out of whack for a while. If there is a chance you could be pregnant by all means make sure that isn't it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
