soccergirl09 52 Posted July 17, 2016 I have read this on here over and over and thought I was prepared for it. I told myself this was gonna happen. I prepared for the post op, the pain, the gas, the depression, the lack of food, the discomfort... Not ONCE in the last 10 days have I regretted having this surgery. This is a pretty hard thing that we have all gone through and I keep telling myself it will be all worth it in the end. I also thought I had prepared me for the "no weight loss/gain". I'm on phase 2: full liquids, and pretty much since I started this phase I have not lost any weight. In fact, this morning I gained .8lbs. I read and read and read again that this was gonna happen! But I guess nothing prepared me for this blow. I wanted this bad and no amount of pain or discomfort was gonna keep me away from it! But man! I'm so so so defeated today!!!! GSleeve822 394 Posted July 17, 2016 As you know, it's totally normal, and you've done nothing wrong. 10 days you're just healing and weight loss isn't the main goal right now. Focus on healing, liquids and Protein. Good luck, you'll be fine! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted July 17, 2016 I agree. It is very normal. How are you doing at getting in all of your Protein and fluids? Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
soccergirl09 52 Posted July 17, 2016 I think I have healed remarkably and I'm getting my Protein and liquids in! It's just hard to not be disappointed. I have a work trip for 3 days tomorrow and that will be good I think to just not think about it! Thank you guys!!! soccergirl09 52 Posted July 23, 2016 And I do understand there's a stall. Believe me, I read it all... I guess I was just hoping it would sink in better. Logically it makes all the sense in the world. Mentally, it's just a huge kick in the gut. Here I am on my second week and not losing. So it just gets to you even through you tell yourself not to let it. I guess I expected weight stalks later in the game Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted July 23, 2016 I highly recommend you stay off the scale for a while. Early out I only weighed at my doctors appointments.
