I've been in a stall for 3 weeks now. I'm 5 weeks post op. I've decided to become more diligent in logging my Protein. Maybe I'm not getting enough in. I hope this helps with the numbers going down. Can anyone give me some advice. I'm losing patience.

Patience is exactly what you need.

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. If you plan to lose a significant amount of weight, you will experience periodic stalls.

Advice?

Just follow your program.

Track your food.

Make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of Fluid.

Get in all of your Protein. For me that is at least 100 grams a day.

Avoid added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), starches, and fried foods.

Practice eating mindfully. Eat slowly, take small bites, and chew thoroughly.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise when cleared.

And, Embrace the Stall

Trying around 80g Protein. Mostly eating meat. Just started Isopure Protein drinks yesterday. And no, probably not getting enough fluids. Which are difficult because I work in a Laboratory, you can't have food or Water near your work area.

That may be part of the issue BUT stalling is perfectly normal. Stay strong!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
