I really REALLY wish my stomach would Shutup!

Recommended Posts

As I am sitting here at my desk at work, my stomach makes the most noise in this office. Even with people talking around me, you can hear it. Any sip of Water, or anything I chew/eat, it goes crazy!! as if I ate a gremlin. And I don't know why, but its just as embarrassing as farting!!

Has anyone else swallowed a gremlin after this surgery??

I'm being serious btw...about the growling.

Over the years, my "Cat in heat" as my friend calls it has quieted some, but occassionaly can still be heard "on the back year fence". ;)

I've come to think of it as a friend just reminding me that it's still down there ---on the job.

Sometimes, unless it's painful----I think that we just have to find a "fun" way of dealing with it.

If it becomes too bothersome and is restricting your daily life, then by all means discuss it with your bariatric team. They have ways of "quieting the beast from within".

Good luck. Please post and let us know how you are doing.

My new tummy still gurgles quite a bit when I eat sometimes. As soon as it starts I know I best not eat 2 more bites otherwise I'll end up feeling miserable. It's my alarm letting me know I've had enough to eat so I'd better stop.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
