shelbys mom 70 Posted July 15, 2016 I am starting the process for the gastric sleeve, however after much reading i understand if you have gerd, it gets worse with the sleeve. Is that true??? I have a lower BMI and I did not even consider bypass. Thanks, confused and disappointed. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

kmorri 1,689 Posted July 15, 2016 @@shelbys mom This is something that your surgeon can help explain to you.....I think it has to do with how severe it is for you and the cause.....for example if you have a hiatal hernia that's causing it they can fix that during your surgery....so just talk with your surgeon and see what they have to say.
