KristenLe 5,979 Posted July 17, 2016 Can't the hospital provide a heating pad? Feels odd to have to bring one from home. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No - its against regulations. They can give you a heat pack (chemical) but not a plugged in heating pad! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

Mrs.Snipes 20 Posted July 17, 2016 Gas pains were the worst part of the whole procedure! My 2nd day I had my wife bring out heating pad from home and I placed it longways down my back and it was incredible! I did that for about another 2 days, along with walking as much as possible, and it went away. 3 weeks post op now and feeling great. It gets much better, but anyone doing the surgery BRING A HEATING PAD! You'll be so glad you did! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App Thanks for the tip I will go look for one today! dalergirl 3 Posted July 17, 2016 Hi all ! Today I am 4 days post surgery and it is the first day that I feel any better but still not great. Still have a lot of gas and am having trouble getting in fluids but at least today I feel like i may have a fighting chance. I need to keep walking as all advise. Really enjoy the boards because I feel like I am not alone in this. Thanks .
