Hello everyone!

I was sleeved on 5/26 and I lost 31 pounds so far and most of it was lost within the first few weeks. I have been loosing 2 pounds here and there, but It has been stalled for 2 weeks or more. What should I do? My NUT said I was eating fine and I am trying to add more exercise on top of working 3 jobs to shock my system. Any ideas??

Thank you!

Frankly, the stress from working 3 jobs is probably not helpful.

Other than that, stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. If you intend to lose a significant amount of weight you will experience stalls.

If you have already consulted your NUT then there really isn't anything you need to do but ride it out.

Just follow your program.

Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise when cleared.

And, Embrace the Stall

Hi @@EmilyJune

I was sleeved 4/28 and had a very similar experience to yours. Lost quickly for almost a month--then stalled for four weeks. During that second month I too would lose a pound or two and think the stall was broken, only to stop losing for another week. It was definitely frustrating!

The stall did break and I've been losing pretty well the last two weeks. All I can say is stick to your program. You're doing great so far and you'll lose plenty more when your body is ready. Besides, you would have been thrilled to lose a pound or two per week before...

No need to worry over this.

I've been at a stall for 4 weeks. I'm 9 months out. At least I haven't gained anything lol but it's frustrating. This is the longest I've experienced and part of me feels I'm not going to lose another pound!!!

I'm 10.5 months postie and I've stalled for about 7 weeks now. Don't know if it's gonna last forever, and at times I'm very discouraged but I have to give myself the opportunity to CONTINUE to be successful, so I stick to my meal plans and workouts. There is no end to this way of life. After all, it is my NEW way of life.

Saying that, if you're just a few months postie, believe me, you're NOT done. Your body is playing catch up. Let it do its thang!!! Good luck

XoXo

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
