Ale Nunez 80 Posted July 14, 2016 Hi, I'm currently on Day 8 of my 14 day pre op liquid diet. I had been feeling decent until this morning, I woke up with no energy at all. I mean, I feel like I can't even pick up my arms and I get tired just by walking to the restroom. I have an 18 months old toddler so it isn't easy at all to be chasing after him. How did you guys cope or are coping with this? Is it normal?
Jene't Carver Hagood 12 Posted July 14, 2016 I am only on day 4 and I feel weak and yucky. My son said take Vitamin B-12 but I already do a prescription of it. It was all I could do to make myself exercise last night.

On day 5 I started feeling better but today I'm just not feeling it

Ale Nunez 80 Posted July 14, 2016 @@Ale Nunez What does your diet allow? You may want to put a call into your surgeon for suggestions on what you can have. Hope you feel better soon! Thanks Kristen !! My diet allows only 5 Protein shakes per day, crystal light, decaff tea and the SF Jello and pops. They told me I could add chicken broth and I just did a quick run to go get some bc I'm at work. I'm seeing that other people are allowed more things which I think it's awesome. My dr said since they're affiliated with the Cleveland clinic they also follow their processes.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted July 14, 2016 broth may help (sodium). Hang in there!
leebick 448 Posted July 15, 2016 Make sure you are drinking enough additional water; weakness could indicate dehydration. Good luck!!
ladybugg27 0 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) I used the bariatric shakes. Protein is what you really need and they really helped me. Along with the broth but watch the calories in it. And watch the sodium in it as well because of it messing up your Water intake. Make sure you're very hydrated. Good luck Edited July 15, 2016 by ladybugg27
aronbd 158 Posted July 15, 2016 Honeslty it may seem like hell now. But in 2 months you'll be looking back at this saying I would do this 1000 times out of 1000 if I had to again. Fight through the pain future you will look back at this and smile. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
