Zoes.Realm 190 Posted July 14, 2016 I am 4 mos post op and I have had problems with diarrhea and stomach cramps since the surgery. I keep eliminating items from my diet and the problems continue to exist. Is anyone else having this same situation? And if so, has anyone found a solution to this? KindaFamiliar 3,867 Posted July 14, 2016 @@Zoes.Realm I had (and still have on occasion) the same problem... I've found that it's when I'm having two or three Protein shakes per day... If I have the shakes and get all my Water in I have the diarrhea problem... If I don't get enough Water, I have the Constipation problem... I guess there's just no pleasing our sleeven poo gods... meme1225 3 Posted July 14, 2016 I am having the same problem!! GS 4/6/15 hysterectomy done by c-section 5/18/16. Besides the diarrhea I thought I had hemorrhoids. I went to the doctor because I tried everything, nothing worked I'm 95% of the time in pain!!! The dr told me I had fissures & I needed more Fiber in my diet!!! It's been a week with adding a Fiber supplement along with adding food with fiber. Still in pain very uncomfortable!!!! PaulStephens1975 62 Posted July 15, 2016 Definitely experiencing the diarrhea problem As for Protein shakes they cause my stomach to have a fit. I think it might be the whey Protein. I try to get all of my protein in from food.
Zoes.Realm 190 Posted July 16, 2016 I try to get in as much Protein from my diet as possible but I am still very limited in the amount of food I can consume each meal. I also can not drink the shakes, they increase the diarrhea and they have my stomach in knots. But I guess only being 4 months out today, that this will continue to be a learning process Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
♥♥AMY♥♥ 14 Posted July 16, 2016 Do the shakes have lactose? There's also liquid Protein maybe that might help a little better Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App
MamaRoark 8 Posted July 16, 2016 I for one am looking forward to passing said poo and not having to grab the wall with my left hand and twist myself as much as possible in order to clean myself which inevitably I get all over my right hand
