SAD HATTER 122 Posted July 13, 2016 Ok, so, I go to my 1 year post op, and I am down 170. Go me. Anyways, I tell the nurse that I have to eat like 4 or 5 times a day to get enough Protein in because I hate food and can't force myself to get it down. So she says, we need to resolve this, and acts like its pretty important. THEN... they take my stats 102/106 with a heart rate of 48 and poof, my food issues are a non-issue. They are sending me to a cardiologist. My appointment is in August. I had high blood pressure when I was fat. But the more I lose, the lower my pulse gets. And my log since my checkup is this: 102/62 hr 50 102/68 hr 48 106/57 hr 50 107/64 hr 65 117/75 hr 48 So... the cardiologist says keep doing the log till he can see me. I will get an ekg, and go home with a monitor, and there was discussion of a pacemaker. I am 36. They told me that if I had stayed fat, I probably would have worn my heart out by 40. Like, drop dead worn it out. In the past month I have: passed out in the shower, blacked out on a roller coaster, and gotten dizzy and faint at least 5 times a day and sometimes I get so weak I feel like I have been hit by a damn truck. My eating and hating food is on the back burner for 3 months until we get my heart under control.
