BigFine 5 Posted July 13, 2016 So, my original surgery date was moved up, and so was my pre-op diet that I missed a week of and now I'm 5 days out from my surgery date and I have cheated big time twice... I'm legit worried and talking to my surgeon is not an option lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

KristenLe 5,979 Posted July 13, 2016 I had chipotle bowl Monday Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Just get back on track and don't have anything off-plan again. The pre-op diet is important to shrink your liver - making for a safer surgery. It's also a good time to learn how to deal with cravings and emotional eating - as you can't go off plan post-op or you will risk significant complications. Be sure to have your food options handy and prepare for days at work, etc. If you feel like you want to cheat - go for a walk, find a distraction, read a book, color, etc. Stay strong!!! Mysticpink74 50 Posted July 13, 2016 Cheating 2x I don't think will have huge impact...but STICK TO PLAN now that you know! I jst talked to my surgeon & they told me there is no liquid diet before surgery...sd jst keep dieting so if you need liquid diet before surgery that will make things go smoother.... tanktalken 46 Posted July 13, 2016 I get the whole pre op diet thing. What I don't get is why some surgeon's do and some don't. Mine doesn't. I have surgery for July 25. I had my final pre-op appt. and was scared to death my weight was going to be an ounce over goal:). Look at it this way. The surgeon probably does 't want to lose money by rescheduling you...I be you'll be fine if you stick it out the rest of the way. Good luck!
