abreland 10 Posted July 13, 2016 This scares me some (at the risk of sounding vain). Is there something that can be done to prevent it, or hopefully reduce it? Is it because of deficiency? Does it grow back? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
rking 484 Posted July 13, 2016 My Hair loss start at 8 weeks and finished 4 months later, which was one month ago. I was really concerned that I was going to have bald spots. It was all frustrating and very scary. It turned out ok. I personally think if you are getting all your Protein their is nothing to prevent hair loss. I did start using nioxin 6 weeks prior to it ending. I am not sure if that helped or if it was it time. You will survive and it will grow back.
hbrhonda 108 Posted July 13, 2016 Don't forget to take your Biotin. I found sublinguals.
abreland 10 Posted July 13, 2016 I've already started taking Vitamins and still in the preop work up stage. Lol.... My biggest fear after blood clots is deficiency. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
azsoul 24 Posted July 13, 2016 My hairdresser recommended the B-complex Vitamins plus Biotin. I am 7 weeks out so very nervous to see if I will lose any. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Dub 9,922 Posted July 14, 2016 Here's the deal..........you already lose hair every single day of you life. You regrow it and don't even notice. Things get a bit off kilter during rapid weight loss. hair may not regrow as fast as you normally do during this phase.....but you will return to normal rates afterwards. Don't sweat it.......lose the weight....and deal with the issues that may or may not present themselves during the process. It's all good.
