Absolutely! Go ahead and use the machine. For one thing, if you don't use it, some insurance companies will show that you are non-compliant for not using it. But also, for your health. If they gave you a machine to use, there was a reason. My oxygen dropped down to stroke level while I was sleeping. Do you really want to chance having a stroke before you get the chance to have your surgery?

Absolutely! Use the machine. It will help you with energy and feeling good. Just because you lose weight does not mean the sleep apnea will go away. I know plenty of thin people who still have sleep apnea. You'll be glad you use the machine. Good luck!

@@fhay It is usually a requirement for surgery that you are on CPAP for 30 days (compliant) before surgery. Once I got used to it - I actually love my CPAP - I sleep so much better (and I only have mild sleep apnea).
