I just made this recently, slightly based on the ricotta bake, but with a Mexican twist.

I broke up my serving of the refried Beans into little custard cup. I got non fat sour cream, and salsa that is the constancy of apple sauce. I heated the Beans then put on salsa 1 tablespoon each. Last I added two slices of avocado and ate it slowly. Fills you fast so take careful note.

These are great types. I have done mashed potatoes and am also doing sweet potatoes. Currently in the puree phase after being sleeved on 6/30. Trying to be creative other than just refried Beans....which are heavenly to me

Thanks for the links to some recipes and ideas. I am dreading the pureed food phase but seeing your ideas has made my planning for this phase easier and less worrisome.

Today is technically my last day for pureed/soft foods, tomorrow I can start introducing regular foods. Made the ricotta bake last night and that thing is the most heavenly food I've ever tasted!!

Last night I made a roast for the family. I did mashed potatoes and steamed carrots. I took a small slice of meat and gravy and pureed it and same with carrots and sat at table with my saucer with the little spoon fulls of dreamy fluff. It was good..but the look on my family's face was priceless. I wish I had a camera! My husband keeps apologizing! LOL he said he feels so bad that I'm so full after two to 3 spoons of food.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
