thisgirlhunts 94 Posted July 11, 2016 Does your doc recommend any Vitamins? My plan listed Centrum chewables, Flintstones Complete, the Bariatric Advantage Multis. I tried the opurity chewables and couldn't handle them so I went to the Flintstones. I feel like I'm 8 again, but I can easily get my two in per day. OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted July 11, 2016 Trader Joe's has a high potency chewable. I take NOW Women's formula at this point. The pills are huge so if you have an issue with swallowing pills, these aren't the ones for you.

I have to do Calcium and B12 and Vitamin d i have all that. Its just the multi killing me Sent from my LG-D415 using the BariatricPal App
reree6898 1,164 Posted July 11, 2016 The problem with a lot of the regular Multi Vitamins is they don't have enough Iron for a WLS person.
marnie86meg 1 Posted July 11, 2016 Did you ever consider liquid Vitamins or Vitamin crystal powder? I read somewhere that the Vitamin crystal packets could be mixed in the Protein shake. They say vitamin Patches do not absorb well on overweight people. I'm going to try the crystals. The chewables taste awful to me. I believe you can buy them on Bariatric Choice. Good luck. cube68 70 Posted July 12, 2016 Has anyone tried opurity Vitamins? I love TwinLabs Bariatric Support, but they are getting hard to find, both locally and on the Internet. I tried Bariatric Advantage, but I would vomit a few minutes after taking them. BA does make the best calcium chews, tropical orange is the best!!! kazie15 12 Posted July 12, 2016 PATCHES!!! <3 I have been taking the Patches for 6 weeks now and I can’t say enough about them. No pills, no chalky flavor, no getting full on them before I even get to eat my Breakfast. They are so simple. I ordered them from Bariatric Pal’s online store. They auto-renew and come in the mail every couple of weeks and cost me $19.00 a month. I take one patch and put it on my shoulder before bed and when I wake up, I take it off. You only have to wear it for 8 hours. I just leave them on my nightstand and it is the last thing I do before bed. They really work, because I went away for the weekend, and forgot to pack them (before and after that, I have been wearing them religiously) and I way felt a difference. The list of the Vitamins is great and I love that it has a lot of Biotin in them to help keep your skins, nails and hair in good form since that is one of the number one negative responses from people who have underwent WLS is the thin hair and terrible skin. I have also not experience any issues with the adhesive. I have before with other “patch” products but so far nothing with these. Great product! Hope you find something that works for you! unique_cathy 13 Posted July 12, 2016 My Nut said not to take gummies and she also recommended Centrum vitamints personally I get the flavor raspberry and they are really good. It dissolves like a mint Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
milpreve 38 Posted July 13, 2016 No gummies allowed on my plan. They recommend Flintstones Complete, which I had as a kid until basically high school. I love them. I am on liquids only right now (1 week post-op), and chewing my Vitamin is the highlight of my night. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
kazie15 12 Posted July 13, 2016 Yep, it is the simple things in life that bring us joy, like getting to chew Vitamins and that being the highlight of our night. I am so glad I am past the liquid phase! :) No gummies allowed on my plan. They recommend Flintstones Complete, which I had as a kid until basically high school. I love them. carlaw 82 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) I am Preop, and am taking two of the bariatric multi advantage with Iron and tolerating very well. Post op will need three a day. nutritionist actually recommended One daily preop but I have done well with two. Am having some Constipation at times. Dreading postop constipation. I could not stand those chewable bariatric Vitamins either! Gag! I may add them to my smoothies once this is over with to keep from wasting them. The ones I am taking now are the capsules. My surgeon said it is fine as long as I can swallow it postoperatively. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Edited July 13, 2016 by carlaw
