Water Aerobics??

I am new to all this, i just got my insurance approval and am waiting (not very patiently) for my surgery date. It took 8 months to get insurance approval. I have rheumatoid arthritis and do Water aerobics to help my joints. Does anybody know how long after surgery i have to stay out of the pool. Thanks for all the great information on this site, i can't wait to be an "official" bandster.

My Dr. Said 6 weeks before Water immersion in order to allow the incisions to fully heal.

My Doctor said two weeks or as soon as there are no scabs on your incision. I waited two weeks and I have'nt missed a day since.

My doc also said a full 6 wks.

My doctor said 4 to 6 weeks for swimming.

I love Water Aerobics! I had surgery on my knee several years ago. Water aerobics has always been something I can do without injurying my knee. It can also be done easily while still fat! lol :laugh

My doctor let me get back in the pool after 10 days. Good luck!

I hope my doctor agrees with the 10 days to 2 weeks.... It is the best exercise that i do. Thanks for all the responses!
