I would say it depends on what your date may be. Do you know how long your surgeon requires you to be on a liquid diet? liquid diets are very hard to maintain. What I did was start a low carb diet a few months before my surgery. It definitely helps to get into ketosis before transitioning to liquids. You could do two Protein shakes & one healthy, low carb meal. Eating that way will help shrink your liver & get you into a healthy mindset. You may want to talk to your nutritionist to see if they have any suggestions for you. Also, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

@@AML32 Thanks for your help. My surgeon doesn't require one. It was something I researched on my own. Surgeon says high Protein low carb but no real guidelines. But I was nervous about doing just liquids after so I wanted to be more prepared than that.
