Does/did any1 feel kinda nauseous when drinking Water? I woke up from surgery dizzy and pretty nauseous and I thought it was effects from the surgery and/or the anesthesia but I still I have it.

Yes, plain Water was the hardest thing for me to drink for a while. Try Decaf tea, Herb tea, crystal light, etc. Also, try different temperatures. It was easier to sip room temperature for a while, too.

It gets better. Just keep sipping.

I've tried with other drinks and the it's the same think. So I thinks it's just me drinking to fast or too much but I did notice however the other day I had to take a pill and I had a bottle of water in the car (mind u, I live in Florida) and I took a gulp of that and nothing. I didn't feel a thing and according to my car the heat index was of 105.

I am 3 days out and sort of get the 'stuck' feeling at times, especially when I take medication. Usually if I walk around it helps, but sometimes it's so annoying.

Ugh plain Water is the worse! Unfortunately, I ended up dehydrated in the ED today and after two liters I'm definitely going to figure out a better way to keep hydrated. Maybe the Vitamin water. Sigh....what a day!

Yes, my surgery was June 10 and I have a wave of nausea when I drink anything. But it passes as a continue to drink. I also don't like anything with flavor right now. So Water is all I can handle. I also noticed that I am excessively thirsty all the time.

Wow! That's crazy and kinda scary cause my dr also told me that I was dehydrated but I didn't have that dry young/mouth feeling nor pain in my extremities, they determined I was dehydrated cause of a very dark yellow urine and strong smell too. The nutritionist told me that I have to drink at least 7 bottles of water a day.

The nausea gets better ( in the sense of severity)and for me at least) as the days went by. They're still present just not as intense

Sure did. I used to love Water. After surgery it made me gag for months. I am out almost two years now. I like it again but struggle to drink enough. It fills me up very quickly. I have to focus on constant tiny sips. It's still hard for me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
