Is it ok to color your hair during the "shedding" phase?

It's that phase post op....the dreaded hair loss! I really need a cut and color....Just wondering if anyone knows if it's ok to color my hair during this process?

I'm 19 weeks post op and I've coloured my hair twice since surgery. My hair is falling out in large amounts but the colour made no difference

I have been doing it every 5 weeks since surgery. My stylist notices the loss of hair but actually commented yesterday how much better it is getting at 1 year post-op.

I had a cut/color three weeks ago and it didn't seem to make any difference. The hair is still shedding, but at least my hair looks better- no split ends and no roots! I went a little bit shorter since so much is falling out, which kind of worked out since it is summer.
