ciciz 8 Posted July 8, 2016 I'm so nervous/excited that I can't sleep! Here it is, after midnight, and I'm officially NPO for surgery!!! Except my surgeon has his patients drink "ClearFast" before bed and 3 hours before surgery, so I have that to look forward to in the morning at least! It tasted like a lightly flavored Water, not bad at all though. I will come back and report on how things go - I would love for others to chime in! I know I've been combing the internet for postop stories wanting to know what it's going to be like, so I'm excited to finally be able to contribute!

ciciz 8 Posted July 9, 2016 Thank you! It went really well - I'm home and on room temperature Water and broth until 5 pm. Boy, people aren't kidding when they talk about the gas pain. And I was thinking of normal gas pain - there is nothing normal about it!! I had to burp it all out - for some reason I was imagining it would come out the other end . My husband has been great at reminding me to walk though, so it's gone for the most part. Now taking small sips is the challenge!
