bini120 163 Posted July 6, 2016 How soon post-op did folks resume regular sexual activity - specifically, intercourse? I find my constitution is a bit unpredictable day to day and too much err.. movement.. can bring on nausea.
Christinamo7 4,042 Posted July 6, 2016 my doctor told me as soon as I wanted to. so, if nausea makes you not want to - then wait a while. or look for a time of day when you are not feeling the nausea. or you may find that you and your partner prefer gentle rather than vigorous for a little while and that's fine, because it's all good, eh? PaulStephens1975 62 Posted July 6, 2016 My incision sites hurt for several weeks so me and my gf had to enjoy low impact closeness at first. I'm a month out now and I'm finally feeling back to normal. I had a little longer recovery though since I had my lap band removed before I had the sleeve. PrinceVanHalen 97 Posted July 7, 2016 After one week I was having sex. Gentle and slow, but still good. Two weeks out and I'm good. My sex drive feels like it's increased as well with this surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

JohnGraySmiley 88 Posted July 7, 2016 The NP recommended 4 weeks but I was comfortable at 2 weeks. Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App
jccanada 314 Posted July 8, 2016 It was two weeks for me. I wasn't worried about the pain, I didn't hurt much. I didn't have enough energy. That's what made me wait. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

missengineer 19 Posted July 8, 2016 I think it was after 3 days. Nothing too strenuous and we were careful not to hurt my incisions. It was suggested to go for it when I felt ready or wait at least 2 weeks to be on the safe side. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using the BariatricPal App
TYRey12 27 Posted July 8, 2016 Yeah, pretty much what everyone else is saying. Very carefully after 4 days, then back to normal after about 2 weeks. We're depriving out bodies of food. I draw the line at sex.
