gigidarko 1 Posted July 6, 2016 Hi! My name is Gi and I just had my surgery on Thursday. Right now I'm on a clear liquid diet. I am anticipating the cravings soon and I want to be proactive. I am an emotional eater, unfortunately. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Gi

pattycarlson09@live.com 18 Posted July 11, 2016 Hi, I'm a couple weeks out post op. I'm probably down 12 pounds and praying for strength! Junk food is everywhere. Today was better than yesterday! One day at a time that's for sure !
gigidarko 1 Posted July 12, 2016 Hi Braille, It has been good so far. I think in my head Im hungry but my belly is full. I would recommend you buy the gasX strips because that was my biggest complaint...It takes a few days for the gas to leave your body. In terms of the emotional eating...I listed my triggers and I am keeping an eye on them. I think that is where my struggle is. Its been a week and I started at 235...now Im 218....Looking forward to more progress.
gigidarko 1 Posted July 12, 2016 Hi Pattycarlson, yes one day at a time. I tried to cheat 2 days ago with a piece of bread and some avocado...boy did I pay the price. My stomach was in knots for 24 hrs..

They have support groups too. Ask your surgeon about it. https://www.amazon.com/Emotional-First-Aid-Kit-Practical-ebook/dp/B0054RXXS0?ie=UTF8&btkr=1&redirect=true&ref_=dp-kindle-redirect
