melbell2222 244 Posted July 5, 2016 Yes seems they rushed you out. But on the other hand I think if your a good pt. and all is well it's good they pushed you out. staying long in the hospital makes the risk higher for infectious diseases. Cdiff is the main one Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Gripp 34 Posted July 5, 2016 Wow I didn't know extended hospital stays can be a risk Sent from my SM-N915V using the BariatricPal App
melbell2222 244 Posted July 5, 2016 Yes there are a lot of germs and they are where you least expect them to be. For example nurses arms where gloves don't cover. Floors, walls, basically where anyone has touched without gloves on. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
James Marusek 5,244 Posted July 5, 2016 I had RNY gastric bypass 3 years ago. I was in the hospital for 2 days. I walked every 2 hours around the clock. I passed gas which was an important requirement in order to return home. I had constant care. I was given Water to sip or ice shavings. Your experiences do not seem like the normal care given for this operation.
Meldyer 12 Posted July 7, 2016 I just had RNY 4 months ago and would have been able to go home in 24 hours if I didn't have really bad nausea on the 2nd day, I went home on day 3. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App
