I've read about the 3 week stall and even a 6 month stall. Anyone stuck/been stuck on a 3 month stall? I'm going into the 4th week of this stall with my weight fluctuating up and down 2-4 ounces. No changes in body measurements either. Protein goals and Water goals met. Not sure what else I can do other than ride this out. All suggestions welcome!

documenting and weighing out everything, even bites of food?

how many calories and carbs?

I would start ^ and maybe even mix up the calories a bit depending on your current amount and see if that gets things moving.

stalls happen throughout this journey and there are no guidelines for how often or the duration.

how far post are you?

welcome to the BP family!

Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing significant amount of weight. Other than the third week stall, there isn't a predictable timetable.

I know I am late to this but yes, the three month stall got me too. Its ROUGH but i am trying to not let it get me down. As always, it will pass if you have more weight to lose. Patience is key! and to not get discouraged! i SHOULD take my own advice haha but glad I am not alone.

I'm at the 3 month stall too. It's been almost 4 weeks, so discouraging. I see my nutritionist next week I hope she can help.

Hey, just so everyone knows you're not alone! I'm just shy of 3 months and am about to hit my 4th week at the EXACT same weight. I have significantly increased my protein/bumped my calories up to 1200-1300 and swapped out diet iced tea w/ artificial sweetener for lemon Water. The only thing I haven't done is a ton of exercise but I have gone on some long walks. But really, it just seems like a true stall since it's been so long at the same weight. I was hoping to be less by this point for a vacation i'm going on this week but it is what it is! Hopefully it breaks soon :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
