MemphisWLS 58 Posted July 3, 2016 I have noticed that a lot of sleevers are very excited talking about their experiences with their surgeons except those of Dr. Woodman. I have read wonderful reviews on Dyer, Westmoreland, Houston to name a few. All sleevers with Dr. Woodman in Memphis TN please take a few mins to tell us newbies how the experience went---, surgery, pre-op, office staff, dos and don'ts, bedside manner of Dr and any bit of information that might help all those interested. And yes I have Aetna Open Choice. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
MemphisWLS 58 Posted July 3, 2016 No I am still hearing the same complaints about him and I am really worried. I am not sure my insurance will pay, I have Aetna with Baptist but I am considering going to centennial/tri star in Nashville Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
gina171 626 Posted July 3, 2016 But I will give the benefit of the doubt that maybe he has come to know Jesus since that time period and is no longer a miserable asswipe. Good luck! Actually, some of the meanest people I've met loudly proclaim that they know Jesus. No kindness guarantee by association. jay2016 5 Posted July 3, 2016 I have my first appointment with him scheduled on 7/14/16. (I think that’s the date). I work with Primary Care physicians who send a lot of patients his way, they alway had a positive referring relationship Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
MemphisWLS 58 Posted July 4, 2016 Hi Jay2016 please keep me update. My first appt with him is 8/8/16. I have to do 6 months with Aetna started last week. Saw Psych and my first weigh-in, seeing his recommended RD on 7/15. I have called the office a few times with questions and they were very abrupt and not rude but cold like I was bothering them. My PCP is with Germantown Internal Medicine. I was warned by psych that he is not warm and fuzzy, he can be quite rude but an excellent surgeon. We will see. I need warm and fuzzy....lolll. Anyway do you mind keeping in touch? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
