Cooked vegetables without a chewy skin? Which veggies are ok?

Recommended Posts

I'm about to start week 3 of my post op diet -- Puree/soft regular diet. My paper says, "cooked vegetables without a chewy skin--most canned work well. Green non-starchy vegetables." So, which vegetables can I try? Green Beans?

Green Beans and peas were hard for me. I used carrots, cauliflower and even broccoli. I just made sure those first few weeks they were cooked very well to almost mushy.

You can do that with green Beans and it works fairly well too but the peas were a little rough for me. I love them now but in the beginning it was a little tougher.

I think the first puréed veggie I had was carrots and yum!

Thank you for the advice @Djmohr. I don't like peas so no worry there. I'll try carrots first!
