Hello!!! I am very happy that I did this, no regrets for me yet! I have lost 30 pounds for the first month, and I'm still learning my new sleeve. I have been back to work for 2 weeks with no problem. I have been walking like a crazy person, with this bad knee as much as possible. I get to start swimming next week and I'm very excited about that. First month down and the rest of my life to Go!!!

Very happy, and feeling good, 20lbs since surgery. I've had no issues and no regrets, either. I also need to eat slower. I work in the school system, so I'm off for a couple more weeks. It's easy to forget I even had the surgery. I think I'm hitting a stall this week and it stinks. I have until Wednesday, so I'm trying to up the Water intake. That seems to be my only problem, I can't get in enough Water. Anyone have any tips for water intake? I'm struggling!

I'm down 30! In a stall for the past week and a half some times I get a burning pain where my scars are. They usually last a few minutes then done. See dr on Thursday, hopefully to be cleared to a full diet and cleared for exercise!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
