garciagiss 23 Posted June 28, 2016 I know everyone is different . But I'm curious to know how much is everyone loosing each week? I'm one week out and have only lost 4 pounds . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
con con 142 Posted June 28, 2016 Typically I lose 2lb a week but it varies. I've been at a stall for 3 weeks currently. You are doing just fine. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
garciagiss 23 Posted June 28, 2016 Ugh that makes me feel better . I've watched over 20 YouTube videos and I think I drove myself a little crazy LOL. I kept hearing 12 -20 pounds the first week and I was starting to worry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 28, 2016 You can't determine weight loss a week out. You were pumped full of fluids at the hospital. Add swelling to that and your weight could be up. Weight loss will depend on how well you stick to your plan, how much you have to lose, etc. It's not wise to compare with anyone.
con con 142 Posted June 28, 2016 In life we always compare and try to establish a baseline. That is normal. Your body does need to heal and acclimate. I feel like I'm never going to lose another pound after this stall but it's about compliance and acceptance and patience. time_for_me 12 Posted June 28, 2016 I am 13 days out today and I have lost 18.6lbs since surgery.
bini120 163 Posted June 28, 2016 We've seen the success stories here - given what this surgery does, your body cannot NOT lose the weight. Know that the pounds will come off - it's only a matter of time. Continue soaking in the successful YouTube videos, be excited about the next few months as you learn to 'drive' your new stomach and remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Trust your body and be kind to yourself. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
