James Marusek 5,244 Posted June 26, 2016 Remember when you hit your bottom weight that meeting your daily Protein, Fluid, and Vitamin requirements is still important. I wonder if your body is craving Protein. As you close in on the Maintenance Phase, the strategy is different. Here is my perception of the Maintenance Phase. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery2.pdf
aimeebatson1 3 Posted June 28, 2016 I am almost 5 years in, and up til about a month ago I felt great! Pre-surgery I was 260, my lowest 128, today I fluctuate between 160-165. BUT over the last few weeks I will jump 6 pounds in a day! (I eat around 1600-1700 calories a day) keep my Protein high, low fat, sugar & carbs! I go to the gym and drink lots of Water. However my life right now is crazy, we bought a new house last month the day we closed my dad suddenly passed away, my oldest daughter graduated from high school and I work for a real estate attorney who is extremely busy. So here is my question (sorry for the rambling) at what point do I call my doctor and say I need help!! I feel hungry when I know I am not, I worry constantly that I will wake up one morning and be back to 260. My biggest fear when I started this journey was failure. To make it even better we leave for vacation in a week!!! HELP!! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
