Plastics in Bangkok

Recommended Posts

So I'm off to Bangkok on Wednesday to see 2 surgeons that I'm interested in for my plastics. Body Lift, Arm Lift and Breast reduction with lift. The 2 Drs I'm seeing are Dr Chartchai at Samitivej Sukhamvit Hospital and Dr Komwit at Bumrungrad International Hospital. Very nervous but I've done all my research and I have all of my information and questions so it's just a matter of deciding which one I think I will be the most comfortable with and the one that will be able to give me the results I'm looking for.

Then pay the deposit and book it in for early August. I Guess this is when it all starts to become real. October will be my 3yr sleeve anniversary so I'll really have something to Celebrate this year.

Definitely lots to celebrate! Congrats to you! I'm considering plastic in another year or so. I'm terrified but I so need a little (okay, more than a little!) nip/tuck. Best of luck and results to you!

So I've decided on Dr Chartchai and 1st surgery will be 6th August and second surgery 2 to 3 weeks after. All very exciting and a lot to look forward to.

I'll let you know how it goes, it's been a huge decision. I have met with 2 surgeons and chose the more expensive because he came across as having a much better understanding of what I needed and explained very well how he was going to achieve it. That's not to say the other surgeon couldn't do an equally good job but in the end I chose who I felt was the right fit. Now I'll have to live with my decision and hope like crazy that it was the right one.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
