B-52 7,113 Posted June 29, 2016 As a person with the Lap Band procedure, the hardest part was the 2-3 months following surgery where the band was not doing anything, and I was forced to adhere to the traditional diet techniques (been there done that and failed) Then after the band was properly adjusted, I had to learn how to live a new way, and let go of the old. Big learning curve, most by trial and error with not to pleasant results
jane13 2,256 Posted July 3, 2016 @14 months post I would say its prepping for the maintenance mindset because the weight is still there (I would like to lose another 10 pounds). I believe the "honeymoon" is over and the -2lbs a week days ended about 8-9 months post. I am still losing weight but very, very, very slowly. If I don't maintain my scale junkie mentality - weighing daily - I can creep up a couple of pounds too easily, because I am able to eat more and the emotional eater is still within me. I am 175 now and I am okay with that...but 165ish is my goal. Right now with personal stuff going on I am in "maintain, not gain" mode. If I lose, yeah...if I go more than 2-3 and stay there for a couple of days I try to really ramp up my Water. I am also trying the 16/8. NO REGRETS!!!! jane
