And I'm hungry. I know it's boredom and I'm sticking to my plan which now includes all liquids and I start on soft next Tuesday.

I wish I could eat or drink something a little more filling.. any ideas or just wait it out?

I too am 9 days out and the Soup is killing me. I just get really creative. Tonight I drained a can of French onion Soup and mixed it with the liquid from a jar of kimchi. A lil spicy but a change.

I had completely the opposite reaction. I lived (and still do lol) on sugar free Popsicles. I wasn't hungry at all but felt like I needed something and that hit the spot. I am 17 days out now and can eat puréed foods now but I still don't ever feel hungry. It's more like eating on a schedule.

sugar free Popsicles are a life safer! What else did you have the two weeks after pre-op?

My surgeon want me to aim for at least 32 oz of milk daily, in addition to 32 oz of clear liquid, which I get from Water, sugar free Popsicles, Jello, broth, strained Soup, decaffeinated herbal tea. I tried the Atkins Lift lemonade for more Protein, but I don't like it at all. I have another week of this before I see my surgeon for my post op follow up.

Thank you for your suggestions :) I wish I could have milk lol my surgeon said no milk and only sugar free silk... and that stuff is nasty by itself. Made a coconut/ginger sugar free milk Soup with a bit of strained cream of chicken and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Protein. That was good.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
