Whenever I eat my meals, I get full, but then around an hour and a half to two hours later, I'm hungry and my NUT told me not to eat any Snacks :(

I'm also stalling and havent dropped any weight in a week.

What am I doing wrong?

How are you supposed to get your Protein in at 4 weeks eating just 3 times a day?

She told me not to make snacking a habit, but I get hungry after Breakfast and lunch and have been snacking anyway (on healthy things of course like cheeses and nuts) I'm drinking 96+ oz of Water a day, so I know its not thirst.

You are allowed nuts at 4 weeks?

I eat Protein 5 -6 times a day. That is the only way I can meet my goals.

When I was 4 weeks I ate every 2-3 hours baked fish or a Protein shake. I wouldn't bother snacking on snacky things. That is creating a bad habit. Later when you are healed you will want to snack on normal snack things. Have multiple small meals so you can meet your goals.

Also are you taking a PPI for acid? You really shouldn't be hungry at all at 4 weeks.

Why no Snacks? What is your Protein target? Without snacks, I would never be able to reach my Protein target of 100 grams a day. What does your NUT say about planning for a couple of high-protein snacks a day?

If I am hungry after about three hours then I can safely assume I may actually be hungry. If I have eaten recently then it is more likely that I am thirsty (or bored, or stressed).

The good thing about eating three meals and one or two snacks is that I don't really have to wait too long until it is time to eat. I can survive an hour or two being hungry.

Staying hydrated helps, too.

Maybe I'm having head hunger? Every program does things extremely differently I guess because my nutritionist told us in diet class not to drink any Protein Shakes because they will just go right through your pouch. I do have a PPI, but just haven't been taking it because I haven't had any problems with reflux. Maybe I should start it again.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
