Terri70 37 Posted June 22, 2016 I have another 9 months to go on my insurance required health education program. The reason I'm so afraid to lose much is because the clinic says I can not gain any. I'm afraid to get back on Nutrisystem, lose a bunch, get off NS, then gain some back and the clinic resetting me because of it. I want so much to lose weight. I know (from past experience) that if I'm on NS 100% I lose, but the moment I get off NS, I gain it all back plus some. I've been on and off NS since 2004. I have so many discounts on my NS account that I get the most expensive program and I only have to pay $203 a month. I just don't know what to do. What would you do? KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) No Nutrisystem. Take this opportunity to learn to eat properly so you can be successful post-op. Does your Bariatric Team have a program you can do? That's what I did. Your diet should consist of high Protein and low carb. Cut out soda or high caloric drinks. No Pasta, bread or rice. Concentrate on Protein and produce. You can start to replace a meal with a Protein Shake. Use small plates, eat slowly. I would also use this time to deal with an emotional eating issues or mindless eating. I attended therapy for 3 months and it's helped. Don't waste time or $ on Nutrisystem. Edited June 22, 2016 by KristenLe

What would you do?Nutrisystem is packed with so much sodium and preservatives and the food is not very good or filling. I think its best to focus on developing healthy eating habits through cooking your own meals. Its bound to be healthier and more educational.
