CNOEL3 117 Posted December 1, 2016 Yes, the recovery has been awesome. Apart from the initial healing process. I felt totally back to normal about 6-8 weeks after surgery. And thank you!! I feel so much better! I edited the post to add some extra before pictures I found after I posted the original. I am so proud of how far I've come. I wish all of you the best and a smooth surgery and recovery! Remember to buy an abdominal binder before surgery though, that helped me soooo much during the healing process. krissyfattofab 68 Posted December 1, 2016 Oh I thought they gave you one. I had one my last C-section and it was a life saver. I was able to come home handle the kids, baby, clean and laundry with that thing. The other 3 csections not so much lol. I'm nervous about having nausea more so than the pain. I can handle pain but am a big baby when it comes to nausea and vomiting. Thank you for sharing the photos. Very inspiring. tamirn 90 Posted December 1, 2016 Hey Everyone, It's been quite awhile since I started this Thread, and since Ive posted on it. I haven't been active on this site anymore, I had to delete the app to make room for some updates, haha. Some current stats for me are: Surgery date July 13th, 2016 Gastric Sleeve with Dr. Mostaedi at Richmond Kaiser Heaviest weight January 2016 290lbs Surgery weight July 13th 2016 242.2lbs Current weight today November 30th 2016 170.1lbs I'm almost 27yrs old, 5'6 inches. Started at a size 22-24 Currently in a size 8/M My shoe size went back down from an 11 to a 10 which is very exciting for me! I have some loose skin on my tummy, and under my arms, my butt and thighs are also kinda saggy, but I'm working on those now with some kettlebell workouts. Here are some before and After pics of me. 20160319_102059.jpg 20160319_102204.jpg 20160713_095448.jpg 20160713_095456.jpg 20160713_095505.jpg 2016-06-06 11.29.10.png 20150307_214841_1480561837357.jpg 20161130_183750.jpg 20161130_183814.jpg 20161130_183942.jpg 20161130_184020.jpg 20161130_185237.jpg 20161130_185308.jpg 20161130_185452.jpg 20161130_185612.jpg Ommmggg you look absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Ya, I got a new one, since my one from my c-section wasn't firm enough. I will say that my incisions after VSG hurt more than after my cesarean. So maybe get a firm abdominal binder just in case. I was vomiting the entire time I was in the hospital, but when I got home, I only needed to take my anti nausea pills for like 2 days. After that I was good. I did sneeze and cough a lot though. Sooo painful. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

krissyfattofab 68 Posted December 2, 2016 Congrats @shaylady08. I enjoy the visit with Dr Z. He explained things a lil more clearly. I'm scheduled for 1/9 and my hubby 12/21. Liz said ''tis the season for cancellations" so she is having me do all my pre-op stuff next week. The pre-op classes are 12/6 and 21 this month. I am going on the 6th so if anything opens up I will move up (as long as it's not too close to the hubs date).
