anniebanana 167 Posted June 22, 2016 I still felt like crap on day four without caffeine. I did switch to Decaf, but I'm not even bothering now. Without Creamer it's just a lousy tasting non caffeinated beverage lol. My surgeon required that we stop the caffeine 30 days in advance. It's just crazy how all these surgeon's requirements are so different! I am fortunate that I have a bottle of hydrocodone because I had knee surgery a couple of months ago and didn't use all the pain meds, so there's always that to turn to if it gets bad. Just make sure you stay super hydrated...that will help at least a little bit.
anniebanana 167 Posted June 22, 2016 My husband has a prescription for Sumatriptan if I get desperate. I'm not sure if that's one I have to stop 10 days in advance of surgery. I'm not sure how to ask my doctor since it's not my prescription to begin with! lol
Shaunie 123 Posted June 22, 2016 I don't take Migraine meds. I don't usually get Migraines. I usually take Aleve, but that's not good to take prior or after surgery. Hoping tomorrow is a good day Sent from my SGH-T999L using the BariatricPal App
LACRACRA2 58 Posted June 22, 2016 I hope you have a better day tomorrow. I was told by my nurse that Tylenol is okay even up to day before surgery. I was told to stop all NSAIDs 10 days prior (ibuprofen, aleve etc) I have imitrex for Migraines that I take with usually two aleve. I will ask my doc/nurse tomorrow if I can have the imitrex all the way up until the day before surgery because I'm not sure on it. I can't take hydros for pain because they make me sick to stomach. *it is crazy how each doctors instructions are different from the other. saphfyre14 97 Posted June 22, 2016 It's the worst!!! I hope it gets better. My poor children are going to pay for this I didn't even think to cut it out prior. Shaunie 123 Posted June 22, 2016 @@saphfyre14, My first two days I had a bad Migraine, but it does ease up. Hang in there!! I still have that buzzing feeling in my head hoping the 4th day is the charm. When are you having surgery? Which surgery are you having? I recently moved back from florida about a year and a 1/2 ago
4u2nvyme 96 Posted June 22, 2016 not sure if its any help but you can do Decaf coffee. sometimes I add a bit of regular black coffee unsweetened to myshake I started it yesterday. Yesterday was bad!! Today a little better, but I do have to confess I'm thinking about doing a 1/2 caff coffee just to get the headache to pass. Not sure what to do...

Wonderwoman516 10 Posted June 22, 2016 I'm also scheduled for July 5. I'm on day 3 of the shakes. I had a headache most of day 1 and half of day 2 but not today. I'm not a coffee drinker but low/no sugar causes my brain to quiver! Haha! @@Shaunie It's funny, but I'm not that hungry either. I blended my chocolate shake with 3/4 cup strawberries and a few ice cubes tonight for part of my supper. It was really good! It gave the shake a different taste and I enjoyed it a lot! Shaunie 123 Posted June 23, 2016 Wondering if anyone else is experiencing drastic weight loss during the liquid diet? Obviously, I knew there would be weight loss but unless my scale is playing tricks on me I'm done 10lbs in 3 days. To me that doesn't seem normal I'm sure a lot is Water weight, but I guess I'm just curious if anyone is seeing this. My scale is pretty accurate. I compare it to the nutritionist every time...... anniebanana 167 Posted June 23, 2016 @@Shaunie I haven't gotten on the scale yet. I was a little concerned because I had a bit of a food funeral before the pre-surgery diet started lol
