It's been a week and I haven't lost any weight! I've been eating less than 900 calories and I've been walking everyday! I don't get it! I think I'm regretting getting this surgery done

How much Protein are you getting? You may not be eating enough if you are exercising alot. Less calories don't necessarily mean weight loss.

It all takes time and diligence following our plans. And patience.

I've been stalled for about 6 months now, but I have NOT given up nor do I regret having the surgery. It is a tool for us to use and benefit from, it is not a miracle worker.

I saw this link on another thread. Maybe it will help you somewhere along the way.

I don't know your weight but I started out at 457 day of surgery. Bigger people tend to loose more weight quicker right after surgery last week I lost 0 lbs I get on scale tomorrow I'm hoping I'm down some. But I feel like I lost

You don't lose weight every day or every week, no matter how heavy you are to start with. That is how it works, get used to it.

When you lose big chunks of weight you are more likely to stall before you lose again.

A major stall would be weeks or even months without losing. You're emotionally going through a lot right now and your body is recovering from major surgery. Take a deep breath and say..."I've lost 34lbs in 2 weeks.." Let that sink in!! Because it's amazing :)

Remember this surgery isn't a magic fix all and weight loss doesn't always happen over night. Stay on course with your plan and it will happen.

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs/fluctuations. Almost everyone experiences their first stall about three weeks after surgery.

Right after surgery your body is recovering from major surgery, is swollen, and healing.

I highly recommend that you stay off the scale, especially early out, and certainly until you are able to eat more. Try just weighing at your doctors appointments if you are going to allow the numbers on the scale influence your emotions.

Just follow your program.

Make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of Fluid.

Make sure you are reaching your Protein target.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise when cleared.

Stay off the scale.

And, Embrace the Stall

Your primary focus is on healing right now.

What other diet have you lost over 30lbs in a week? I hope you don't expect to lose like that continuously, because you will be a very upset person.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
