Less calories don't necessarily mean weight loss.

KristenLe 5,979 Posted June 21, 2016 @@DFernandez718 You lost 34lbs in your first week - that's a tremendous amount of weight and it's no wonder you've stalled a bit. Your body needs time to adjust. Stick with your plan! Don't worry about restricting calories at 2 weeks out. Get your Protein, fluids and Vitamins.
MrsSugarbabe 727 Posted June 21, 2016 It all takes time and diligence following our plans. And patience. I've been stalled for about 6 months now, but I have NOT given up nor do I regret having the surgery. It is a tool for us to use and benefit from, it is not a miracle worker. I saw this link on another thread. Maybe it will help you somewhere along the way. https://www.youtube.com/user/WorkHardFeelGoood
ChrisLINY 1 Posted June 21, 2016 I don't know your weight but I started out at 457 day of surgery. Bigger people tend to loose more weight quicker right after surgery last week I lost 0 lbs I get on scale tomorrow I'm hoping I'm down some. But I feel like I lost
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted June 21, 2016 @@DFernandez718 You don't lose weight every day or every week, no matter how heavy you are to start with. That is how it works, get used to it. When you lose big chunks of weight you are more likely to stall before you lose again.
cindyw41 761 Posted June 21, 2016 (edited) A major stall would be weeks or even months without losing. You're emotionally going through a lot right now and your body is recovering from major surgery. Take a deep breath and say..."I've lost 34lbs in 2 weeks.." Let that sink in!! Because it's amazing Remember this surgery isn't a magic fix all and weight loss doesn't always happen over night. Stay on course with your plan and it will happen. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited June 21, 2016 by cindyw41

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted June 21, 2016 None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs/fluctuations. Almost everyone experiences their first stall about three weeks after surgery. Right after surgery your body is recovering from major surgery, is swollen, and healing. I highly recommend that you stay off the scale, especially early out, and certainly until you are able to eat more. Try just weighing at your doctors appointments if you are going to allow the numbers on the scale influence your emotions. Just follow your program. Make sure you are getting at least 64 oz of Fluid. Make sure you are reaching your Protein target. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall. Your primary focus is on healing right now.
