walkermy 86 Posted June 20, 2016 I jumped through hoops, getting tests and documentation, met with a dietitian 6 times over 4 months, called Cigna only to find they notified my doctor's office last week I had been denied. walkermy 86 Posted June 21, 2016 Thanks for the support according to the coordinator in my docs office Cigna required 90 days of medically supervised nutritional counseling. I had 5 visits over 4 consecutive months. According to Cigna medical review, I did not meet the medically supervised diet requirements. I feel like I'm getting the run around, while I like my doctor, his office staff sucks, and you can never get them on the phone, they only communicate via email.
