I had sleeve surgery on 03/24/16 and I feel great! HW 253. SW 236. CW 208. I was walking most days until we started flooding here in Houston, and I have not gotten back to working out.

I haven't had any problems from day one. I even questioned if the surgeon really did anything because I didn't have any nausea or problems meeting my intake goals.

I get between 1,000 and 1,200 calories a day, high Protein low carb.

Surgery 30 March. SW 123kg CW 104kg... I feel pretty good, i follow a high Protein diet, try and stay around 1000 to 1200 cals and at least 2 litres of Water.

I have not been exercising, aside from running after my twin toddlers - and this is something that i want to focus on seriously once we move into our new house by the end of July.

My hair has been breaking n has become super fragile.. But it hasn't bothered me too much since i keep it in braids most of the time.

How has everybody else's progress been?

I had my surgery on 3/22/16 and feel GREAT. My HW: 318, SW:280 and CW: 214.6. I would say this has been the best decision of my life.

I did suffer one complication which is Constipation but thats it. I've been working with my surgeon and her team to increase my Fiber.

As far as exercise I did go to the gym before surgery and would do the treadmill and the elliptical. I have been back to the gym and find that I have to run now in order for my body to feel like it is working out. I'm excited for future results.

Due to increased workout my surgeons wants me to try to get to 1000 calories a day. I'm currently anywhere between 650-850. If I don't hit the 1000 it's ok but I have to remember to give my body the appropriate rest before I run again. Now I can run anywhere from 3-4 times a week. I also do strength training.

I did personal training immediately at 2 months when cleared to exercise and it was difficult. However now my body has adapted and wants more.

Congrats EVERYONE!!!!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
