tlyons72 43 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) KYN13 You can do this! You are a strong woman that is taking control of her life. Find pictures of healthy women and post them all over your house/room! Go online and find clothes you want to wear or an outfit that you want to fit into by next Spring. Dream about yourself at that weight! Dream about going on a cruise or whatever vacation you want....and dream about yourself looking good on it! Use your dreams as a motivating factor and kick bottom. It's a few weeks. Get a calendar up on your wall and each day that you eat right and exercise put giant "X" on it. I'm a Sales Coach...I know what I'm talking about here. You have to want this more than food. Visualization is a HUGE motivator. Any other suggestions, folks? Edited June 29, 2016 by tlyons72
lobe22 18 Posted June 29, 2016 Everything has gone so smoothly for me since I had my first appointment on April 28, 2016. I had a BMI of 37 and Diabetes type 2. The once exception was a mini-nightmare with my insurance company. I have BCBS of Illinois, and the kept denying my because they said the facility that I was scheduled to have my surgery in was not a BCBS Center of Excellence. This was NOT the case, and it took about two weeks of talking to multiple people at BCBS to finally get it worked out. I shouldn't complain too much about my insurance, as it is covering my surgery at 100%. With your hypertension, (which is a co-morbidity) I would think that you would be approved. This was the worst part for me....waiting to see if they would approve my surgery. I feel your pain---hang in there! I have faith that insurance will come through for you! Shrinkinqtpi 202 Posted June 30, 2016 Update I had my reassessment a week ago today while the insurance coordinator was out of town. Yup. She has not submitted anything to the insurance company yet. it would be great if all members of the staff were as fantastic as the surgeon and medical staff. Finding my happy face/voice to get to the next level. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
