reducer623 137 Posted August 10, 2016 20160809_181536.jpg My new favorite dinner!! (This is a salad for my whole family, not just for me ) Tomatoes and fresh basil from the garden, fresh mozzarella (which is lower in cals than most cheese, and high in protein) - drizzled with avocado oil and topped with salt and pepper. So delicious and filling! I can eat 2 slices of Tomato and 2 small slices of fresh mozz in 1 sitting and I'm FULL. JJCool 104 Posted August 10, 2016 That salad looks so good it has made my tummy rumble - I didn't think it even had the ability to do that anymore! I'm totally going to have to copy you and have that for dinner Jo x
suzzzzz 1,005 Posted August 11, 2016 Had a glass of wine tonight. Late birthday celebration. It didn't affect me differently but I did take over an hour to drink it. Lol. I kept taking sips of Water in between. And, yes, it was ok on my plan.

chycky 671 Posted August 11, 2016 Wow. I miss red wine. Went off a few months before surgery and my surgeon does not green light alcohol for one year or maitenance.
APanda911 80 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) I drank a glass of wine yesterday at a lularoe party, i would say i have 1-2 glasses/week and it's working for me, my Dr is fine with it (by the way, lularoe is a great line of clothes for when you're losing weight bc it's flattering, stretchy and grows/shrinks with you! If you get invited to one of the events definitely go) Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App Edited August 11, 2016 by APanda911

cln39 27 Posted August 12, 2016 I love this forum. I'm glad to know that some of the symptoms I have are normal. I am 6 weeks post op and I have lost 47 lbs. I am almost halfway of my goal. I'm just waiting for the 'stall' to happen. I am only able to eat 2-3 bites at a time. And small bites. It takes me about 2 hours to get a 10oz Protein Drink down. I have started eating soft foods but everything upsets my stomach. I do drink about 50oz of Water a day. By mid afternoon I am exhausted. I have to tell myself to eat or I would go all day and not eat. I know it will get easier and I'm happy with my results. ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted August 12, 2016 @@cln39 Wow, 47 lbs since surgery is AWESOME!! Congratulations! I've lost 37 and I'm feeling pretty good about myself
ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted August 12, 2016 @@Ruby1 The neck pain could be from positioning during surgery or sleeping positions post-op. If it's your throat vs your neck, it could be from the endotracheal tube that helped you breath during surgery. But, combined with pain under your breastbone, you probably should call your surgeon or his/her office and tell them about your symptoms. Do you go for a 1 week checkup?
