Feel like this is failing?

Recommended Posts

I am a month post op. I am a revision from sleeve to RNY. The first week I lost 18 pounds. Absolutely nothing since. I have actually gained 2 pounds of that back with no reason to. I am now on regular foods and do everything I can to get Protein in with foods. I cannot drink the shakes because they make me sick. I have given up everything as I needed to. I eat chicken, fish, Beans, Greek yogurt, turkey, vegetables and little fruits. I drink Water only. I feel like this has failed me. I feel like I am doing everything I am supposed to. This is a true 3 week stall after only being a month out. I have measured and my measurements haven't changed during this time either. With a 2 pound gain. Help!!!

Fluid......good chance it just Fluid. Our bodies hold onto fluid whilst burning fat.

I too when up a few pounds a month in, and I felt the same frustration as you do now; but it came off.

Now I just accept it as part of my journey, because for me It's definitely 2 steps down , 1 step back.....but overall the weight keeps coming off.

I completely get where you are coming from. I am 9 weeks out from surgery and have been in a stall for the past 3 weeks. I've gone back to doing more Protein shakes rather than food because I think I am not getting enough Protein. We'll see how it works. Can you get some unflavored Protein powder that you can add to a drink or food to up your protein? At 1 month out I doubt you are getting enough protein from the food you are eating since the amount you can eat is so small. That would be my first thought.

I had bypass 4/29 been stalled for weeks. Glad to know I'm not alone. I keep losing and gaining the same one pound. I'm a revision but I feel like it should be coming off more. He said I'd have a stall weeks three and four but it'd been since then:(

Yes, you can get unflavored protein. Several companies make it. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury is the one coming to mind right now.
