RoseyM 2 Posted June 14, 2016 I got my surgery date for August 16th... I have to loose 30 Lbs by then and am trying harder than I ever have. I never walked or did anything physical and I have started walking over 2 miles a day and eating an alternative pre op of around 600-700 calories at most. I lost 7 lbs last week from Sunday to Friday and since Friday I haven't lost anything and am getting so frustrated and really stressed about counting calories and what i eat now I know I can do this and it is what I want but it makes it so hard when I am really trying and my family is eating pizza while I have a 150 calorie dinner Sent from my SM-S978L using the BariatricPal App

Hmm...I'm not a doctor but it seems to me that you are eating too few calories even for pre op. I am pre op as well and I am on a 1200 calorie diet (3 400 calorie meals a day). Your body may be in starvation mode which is why you have not lost anything more. Sent from my SM-G925T using the BariatricPal App
RoseyM 2 Posted June 14, 2016 My actual pre op diet is 3 Protein drinks and a 200-300 lean cuisine meal plus 1 cup of veggies. Which is around 700 calories.... I have to do that for a month they recommend but in total before surgery I need to loose 30 so I was trying now instead of waiting if I could loose the weight and keep it off I wouldn't be getting the surgery tho I am just soo discharged today... especially with blisters on my feet and knees that are screaming at me Sent from my SM-S978L using the BariatricPal App
SarahM76 30 Posted June 14, 2016 I know how you feel RoseyM. I thought the same thing...if I could stick to the diet, I wouldn't be in the program! Its tough, no doubt. Keep going. The first week is the worst. Be proud of your progress. It took time to put all the 'extra'on, it'll take some time to get it off too. You can do it!
britt_12 14 Posted June 15, 2016 Try replacing a meal with premier Protein drinks. I don't chug mine I sip on it for about 15 minutes or so and it made me feel full. Helped me a lot but still was hard because I liked eatting my calories haha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
